Main Site Rest Day
Perfect timing. Feeling the effects of "Diane", though I couldn't be happier with the performance. Down to the wire now. Quiet celebration I suppose.

"Here's Where The Story Ends"
2009 is drawing to a close, and with it so does my 'Main Site Experiment'. It was, by and large, a very beneficial process. The numbers don't lie, it's all there in black and white. No middle ground. No compromising. No BS.Thank you all for your support in this endeavor. In particular Marc W., Chuck B., KD, VS, Ken C., Doc Steve, Josh, Jason B., Raif & Ali, Jeff Martone, The Parkers, Mo & Rho, and all of those I shared the pain with along the way. Thank you for the smiles and kind words of encouragement.
The highlights include:

"Tabata Something Else" = 500 reps
"Nicole" = 141 reps

Gone.
You get to feel so guilty
Got so much for so little
Then you find that feeling
Just won't go away
You're holding on to every little thing so tightly
'Til there's nothing left for you anyway
Goodbye...
You can keep this suit of lights
I'll be up with the sun
I'm not coming down
I'm not coming down
I'm not coming down
You wanted to get somewhere so badly
You had to lose yourself along the way
You change your name, well that's okay, it's necessary
And what you leave behind you don't miss anyway
Goodbye...
You can keep this suit of lights
I'll be up with the sun
I'm not coming down
I'm not coming down
I'm not coming down
'Cause I'm already gone
Felt that way all along
Closer to you every day
I didn't want it that much anyway
You're taking steps that make you feel dizzy
Then you learn to like the way it feels
You hurt yourself you hurt your lover
Then you discover
What you thought was freedom is just greed
Goodbye...
And it's emotional
Good night...
I'll be up with the sun
You're still holding on
I'm not coming down
I'm not coming down
I'm not coming down
Gone...sun...time...sun...
Gone...sun....gone...sun...
Sun...

"Humbling River"
Nature, nurture, heaven and home
Sum of all and by them driven
To conquer every mountain shown
But I have never crossed the river
Braved the forest braved the stone
Braved the icy winds and fire
Braved and beat them on my own
Yet I'm helpless by the river
Angel, angel what have I done?
I've faced the quakes the wind, the fire
I've conquered country, crown, and throne
Why can't I cross this river?
Pay no mind to the battles you've won
It'll take a lot more than rage and muscle
Open your heart and hands my son
Or you'll never make it over the river
It'll take a lot more that words and guns
A whole lot more than riches and muscle
The hands of the many must join as one
And together we'll cross the river

Further Down The Spiral
In and out. Easy. Dinner and some wine. Well, some wine and dinner.
Head down, eyes up. Over. Everywhere. Nowhere. Not anymore.
Old habits, well you know.
Winter air always was nice.
A smile, a 'thank you'. Smile again. Eyes down.
"He was so nice."
Gone. No one even noticed. Like a ghost.
The grey man with a wine habit. Almost real.
I was here. Same old song.

Picture of the Day
A ronin (浪人 ,rōnin) was a samurai with no lord or master during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the ruin or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master's favor or privilege.WOD, 12/16/09

Wake Up
Run. Shoot. Lift. Cook. Drink. Fight. Claw. Build. Dance. Learn.
Whatever 'it' may be, I hope to hell you find it. And once you do, do the hell out of it. Wake up. Live. Put it on the line. Grow. Do something. Make it amazing. Anything.

"Drunk With Power"
The Puscifer performance on Tuesday night was terrific, and I've never been to event quite like it. From the opening notes of "Sour Grapes" to the sideshow carnival vibe of "Drunk With Power", the band never skipped a beat. The songs took on an entirely new feel live, and many with a blues vibe that really worked. And those dudes had the wine flowing. All night long. Bravo.
